PROBLEM

02

Digital therapeutics company Blue Note and its team of cancer doctors, patients, and researchers had started designing a mobile app to deliver a clinically tested stress management program.

Their early designs lacked features to help users connect. Due to lack of features, user engagement was low. We needed to figure out how to build community, support, and trust in a digital environment.

SOLUTION

A mobile app interface for a health or sleep monitoring app, with sections for a user profile named Holly, navigation tabs for Planner, Progress, Library, and Journal, a calendar displaying sleep-related activities, and upcoming events for deep breathing and sleep monitoring.

Design-focused —

  • Expanded the onboarding flow to support group communication with new fields like profile photos and conditional information to promote trust and empathy amongst others within the online community

  • Designed a personalized section where users could schedule upcoming meditation exercises, track their progress for the week/month, or view a library with resources.

  • Built a journal tool to allow users to write down their thoughts and feelings throughout the day. At the end of the program, users can download their whole journal to see how far they have come.
